Collision Safety Consultants of PA

Services

Four kinds of work, all for the vehicle owner, all under Pennsylvania's appraiser licence.

Total loss

When the carrier declares your car a total loss, its settlement figure comes from a valuation report. We check that report against the actual market for your year, trim, mileage and condition, write an independent valuation, and invoke the appraisal clause in your policy so the two appraisers settle the number rather than the adjuster alone.

Diminished value

A car that has been in a reported accident is worth less than the same car that has not, even after a perfect repair. If another driver was at fault, that loss in value is a claim against their carrier. We document the vehicle and the repair, calculate the diminished value with a written method, and present the claim to the carrier.

Short-pay claims

When the carrier's estimate leaves the repair shop short of what a proper repair costs, the difference lands on you. We review the shop's estimate against the carrier's, document the repair procedures the manufacturer requires, and negotiate the shortfall with the carrier's appraiser.

Post-repair inspections

After a repair, we inspect the car for function, safety, appearance and value against the repair order and the manufacturer's procedures, and give you a written report. If something was missed, the report is what gets it corrected.

Starting a case

Send us the carrier's offer, valuation report or estimate, together with photos of the car, to john@collisionsafetyconsultantspa.com or call (610) 300-7585. We look at it and tell you what we would pursue before you decide anything. Collision repair shops that want to talk about a customer's claim can book a call.
